Ding Xueliang, Academic Committee Member of Tianyi Network. Born in a rural area of southern Anhui. I have received incomplete primary, secondary, and tertiary education intermittently in China. In 1984, he went to study in the United States and obtained a doctoral degree from Harvard University in 1992. I am currently a professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a senior researcher at the Carnegie Foundation for International Peace, and a communication researcher at the Asia Pacific Institute of the National Australian University. The research areas include transitional societies, comparative development, and globalization.
Ding Xueliang is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, as well as a part-time researcher at the Institute of Advanced Studies at the National Australian University. From 1997 to present, served as an editorial board member for journals such as Chinese Sociology&Anthropology and Tsinghua Sociological Review.
He has written extensively and presented innovative viewpoints, making him an academic authority with international influence in the study of China's socio-economic and political issues today.
